Implement a trash / recycle bin into the file manager [ROADMAPPED]

It would be nice to be able to recover deleted files in the file manager.
Please consider implementing a trash bin able to hold deleted files for a certain amount of time.

Hmm... Why not...
But I think this trash storage should also be included in the disk usage website.
And I would also like to set a global day limit. For example, 7 days and after that time the trash is cleaned.

+1 for the feature -- when clients are deleting files they should either get the option to skip trash & perm delete, and/or have the ability to manually perm delete from the trash folder. Would suck for a client that needs to free up disk space to find they can't until the trash is cleaned after x days.

The request is a good point.

Can I suggest that maybe a better approach is to use backups to restore deleted files? This way, enhance does not have to put effort into creating and maintaining another price of the software.

The idea is that Enhance restores should allow granular per-file restore from backups. Backups can go back 30 days back 🙂

+1 much needed feature. Avoids accidental lose of files as one can go in the Trash and recover. Also 7 days auto-clearing of trash is a must to regularly free up space.

We have an open feature request for trash functionality. I'm going to extend this to include the ability to clear trash after X.
