Innode limitations?

Previously when we were using cPanel there were innode limitations per cPanel account. That's generally how the industry does it.
What about Enhance? I do not see any innode limitations in Enhance per website.

Secondly, I would like to ask that does it currently matter with the newest NVMe drives?

At the moment it's not possible to hard limit inodes. I think we can implement this easily if people want it.

I would say with a modern file system and ext4 it's not much of an issue, especially since people generally run less customers per server on Enhance than they might with cPanel due to the lower licence cost.

It would be great to have this feature in Enhance.

I would like this feature as well. I have seen a few times when users account has thousands of files constantly getting created. The inode limit prevented more files getting created.

It would be nice if enhance made use of ZFS. INODES no longer a problem, and incremental backups become incredibly simple and performant.

jaymate Yup. I used ZFS with LXD for containerization before Enhance. ZFS is amazing on datacenter grade drives.

ZFS is horrible on consumer grade and some cheap datacenter drives and they will die much faster. A lot of datacenter NVME's that I've seen providers use don't have PLP either.

I'm guessing Enhance decided against ZFS because you need good hardware for it to be reliable, but they know many hosts use just barely good enough hardware.
