after one hour of adding a new domain to my panel, I can see "UNIQUE HITS: 31 and TOTAL HITS: 68". The problem is, I don't even a change DNS from hosting provider. Can You describe this situation?
The same domain, in advanced > security, I can see expiration of SSL 01/014096 and info its form "Hosting Control Panel". Its kid of dummy ssl? Its have some special functions?
Hi Mark,
This information comes from parsing the Apache log. There are some background processes which make requests to your website, for example the WordPress toolkit and LetsEncrypt. Also if you have a script on your website which makes "callback" requests over http then this would contribute to the number. A unique hit is based on a hash of the useragent + source IP address.
This is the default self signed SSL which is installed on every website on creation, to allow you to access over HTTPS before the DNS is updated (if using an hosts file entry or similar bypass). Once the DNS is updated, Enhance will replace this with a LetsEncrypt certificate. Alternatively you can upload your own.
Great! It's going straight to my FAQ.
