Updating Ubuntu from the panel.

Added the ability to update Ubuntu from the panel. I currently have such a solution in the Plesk panel and it makes things much easier.

Could be handy, but it's risky too.
If you do the update yourself, you are in control. If you just press a button enhance needs to know what to do or not to do.

Is this only for package updating? Do you want full version upgrades too?

It also lacks any information about the server software, such as the Ubuntu version, etc. In my opinion, the Ubuntu update should be managed from the Enhance panel.

Definitely shouldn't be full version upgrades. Just handling package updates would be great, like other panels do. If it ran package updates, and we toss Kernelcare on - server can run on autopilot for a good while.

No, please don't set kernelcare on.
Trust me, automatic kernal updates can ruin your server.. (experienced it multiple times where complete server clusters became showing weird issues)

Just package updates is cool as long as there is enough information shown in enhance.
Else I just advice to learn something about how the CLI works and how you need to update stuff manually 🙂

Machiel92 yikes, was that on Enhance cluster you had that experience, or another panel? I've used kernelcare on cpanel servers for years without a problem.

For the record on server that don't run control panels, manually managed servers in a cluster like this:
2x haproxy load balancing servers.
2x nginx webservers.
3x database servers that are in a percona cluster.

and guess what, 1 of the percona servers gone mental due to the kernelcare automatic update. From that day the decision is to NOT automatic update kernelcare.
Now it's done once a month with an engineer that keeps an eye on it.
