Wishing the entire enhance team and all community members a fruitful 2024. It's wonderful to see how much this community has grown since its inception.
While Enhance has an appealing UI, the UX is somewhat lacking.
I'm going to recap some topics that have already been discussed, as I feel they are not being prioritized in the roadmap.
- The dropdown for website creation is very confusing when multiple packages are involved.
- The process of incorporating multiple domains into a website (which might more accurately be referred to as a container or whatever) can be confusing. Even for experienced users, the terminology can seem misleading. Then you go addon domains change the root folder and go to app to install WordPress. Very confusing 😵💫
- The current package listing is displayed as a grid of cards. This requires scrolling when a customer has around 20 packages. A more streamlined listing would be much more efficient, especially for laptop-sized screens.
- Adding tags to packages is crucial, though it's not yet reflected in the roadmap.
Try creating 20 packages with identical names - it will quickly become confusing to differentiate between them.
- File manage default view in list instead of grid.
- If your package limit is one website and you attempt to add another, the domain field will be greyed out without explanation. If you press the greyed out "add" button, it will prompt you to enter a domain. This can make the validation error confusing.
- The main menu bar on the website requires re-structuring. For example, it's unclear why FTP and backup options are under 'advanced'. The 'developer tools' section also contains many elements. The menu bar should be reorganized to reduce the need for multiple clicks.
These are the key areas I believe the enhance team should focus on to make the panel more user-friendly for both administrators and users.
Cheers ! 🫶
