Slow upload files for Wordpress

Hello everyone, I'm using WordPress with Apache, and I'm trying to restore a backup using the All-in-One WP Migration plugin. However, the upload of the backup through the WordPress control panel has been extremely slow, considering that it only weighs 400MB. What could it be, perhaps MOD security?

I don't think mod_security would cause this. If you FTP or SCP a file to the server, is it similarly slow?

Hello Adam, I uploaded the file directly via SCP in less than a minute. I'm not sure what is causing the slowness via the WordPress admin still. Where can I change the allowed upload limits for PHP?

You can set the upload_max_filesize and post_max_size vars under "developer tools" for the website.

However I don't think this would cause a slow upload. If you open "developer tools" in your browser, are there any errors? Is it possible a plugin is doing something with the file after upload - does the problem happen on a freshly installed WordPress installation? Do you have any hard resource limits set on the website, under package settings or as an override?

The same thing happens here, even for uploading files from the enhance panel. I have checked the server speed and it is 100 Mbps, but inside the panel and WordPress I can't get more than 2 Mbps upload speed. I also note that I have done a speed test of my internet and it is 100Mbps upload.

I use duplicator PRO in WordPress, I am trying to import a .daf file from a link from another server (hosted on DA).

If I upload from my pc the file or if I download the file from a domain the same thing happens.

I have the same issue with upload speed. Both in WP and in the File area in Enhance panel.

It took about 90 seconds to upload a 7MB photo in WP.
It took 8 minutes to upload a 157MB file in the Files area in the Enhance panel.

Both our datacenter and our office has gigabit connection.

No issues here, we’ve periodically uploaded multiple gigabyte folders to our servers running Enhance within minutes.

Given that we have a 1GB up/down connection in office, and our servers are our colo with unrestricted accessed.

We have 2 separate instances of Enhance on 2 different data centers, and we have the same upload problem on both instances.

The problem has occurred with uploads inside WP, the File Area inside Enhance panel. It has also occurred when we use the Website Importer and upload a backup file.

When uploading files using FTP everything works great.

bippo do you have low IO bandwidth/IOPS? Maybe uploads get throttled if the upload speed is faster than limits to write data to disk.

Are these VPS servers or what provider are you using?

twest I made a performance write test and the servers can write at 1.2GB/s.

JohnB Yes, it's VPS servers hosted on Hetzner and a Swedish data center called GleSYS.

I installed speedtest-cli and on Hetzner we have ₃.5Gbit down and ₃.8Gbit up. On the other datacenter we have around 2Gbit up/down.
I also tried scp to copy a large file from local to one of the servers on Hetzner. It reached about 150mbit just before the copy was completed.
