Recent Appcd update about openlitespeed

Hi!
I see that the recent update says "Openlitespeed config rebuild now writes to a temporary file before updating the running config." Can someone throw more light about what this does?

manu I saw that and wondered the same thing. Does that mean OLS has a persistent config now? Be pretty huge if so.

twest I was thinking the same. However I am very new to OLS, could you drop some lights on the benefits of this? And I don’t see where can we set OLS configs manually in Enhance.

I take this update to mean that Enhance is being careful when updating OLS configuration to ensure that the file isn't accidentally wiped in the process. I am sure persistent changes will come in the future (along with a GUI to edit). I am sure this update is a first preparatory step.

It doesn't relate to persistent config. There was a very rare bug where the config would be partially written if appcd were restarted or a process were terminated during the rebuild after adding/removing a virtualhost. Now the config is written entirely to a temporary file then moved to the live config path.
