mendozal They don't do localization very well. Each time there's an update, you need to reapply everything and check for missing strings.

You can create a semi-automated workflow to manage this.. this is what we do.

We left upmind around a year back. Was too restrictive. The new pricing is a shame, as they had said earlier, that they will never bill for customers as WHMCS. Now they are on the same route. They had promised to open source the billing system last year, no update till date.
Thank God we left them.
Just hope this doesn't happen with Enhance in the future.

I'm still testing this. It seems there are a few features missing, maybe someone that is using it can give their opinion.

We use Clientexec and it's mostly OK. One of my biggest annoyances is that if the third party Fraud service marks a customer for 'Pending Review', the package is still created and activated - there's no way to change this behaviour.

By default, the Enhance server plugin within Clientexec also won't show the nameservers within the client area and overrides your default package PHP version you set in Enhance to PHP 7.4 on every new account. I have a PR open on their GitHub which fixes these issues.

Honestly we tried them all. We use hostbill.

Its an extremely flexible system. even we can sync with our accounting software. U can also build your own stuff.

The drawback with hostbill is paid support. U need to have a thousand dollars laying around for tickets or ur paying 90$ for a ticket 🙃

I just hope and pray, enhance doesn't increase their prices like upmind. It wouldn't make any business sense at such high prices.

manu Agreed! I recall there's a bit of overlap between Upmind and Enhance but I don't recall the specifics. I was hoping to give Upmind a try but the problem for us was you cannot test it properly. You either migrate and switch and hope everything works! That wasn't exactly possible for us. To much risk. I was planning to launch a second brand with Upmind but not now.

I'm playing with upmind right now. So far my impressions are that it takes more clicks to do things and at least on domains, it just seems weird that the tld is a separate field. I like the UI and feel, but otherwise, feels like it takes so much more work to get provisioning going. As someone in another thread mentioned, their logic seems illogical.

I'm also looking at hostbill because it can provision Rackspace email. Not a fan of the pricing model.

Clientexec UI seemed meh.

Fossbilling also looked meh and doesn't to seem to be that active of late?

We've tried them all, and WHMCS is still our choice. It's far from perfect, but it's still the best option, at least for now.

cPFence I'd be ok with it if getting accounting data out of it was more sane. I've been on it for over 10yrs, so by this point I understand it's idiosyncrasies and quirks. It's the devil I know.

The thing that turned me off about Upmind was its lack of self hosting.
I have switched to ClientExec.

The migration process was a nightmare
It is self hosted!!!
It works much faster
I can code in ANYTHING i want
They have a lot more integrations
It is cheaper and has a LIFE TIME LICENSE!
