I made the upgrade today. All is working perfectly it's been 24 hours 🙂

Quick and easy update.

After first doing an apt update / upgrade and rebooting, everything went smoothly upgrading from 10.8.6 > 11.0.2.

RAM usage on app servers looks to have gone down about 10% since upgrading, could be co-incidence though?

I also noticed that one of my app servers is still on OpenLiteSpeed 1.7.19 while the other is reporting OpenLiteSpeed 1.8.1. Perhaps it just needs another reboot?

ordinary For anyone who has the same issue with OLS not updating: I posted a support ticket and Adam sorted this out.

In the end he got me to run "docker pull litespeedtech/openlitespeed" on the affected server.

Then, on the CP server: "appcd-cli 1.1.1.1 change-webserver open-lite-speed" (where 1.1.1.1 is the IP of the server on which you want to update OLS).

Usual disclaimer, always make backups etc. This also cleared config for OLS. I needed to disable and re-enable CPGuard WAF and reset my OLS webaccess pass with: "docker exec -it openlitespeed /usr/local/lsws/admin/misc/admpass.sh" on that server.

We updated to 11 today and one of our nodes is having issues with email not working after the update. We're getting the following error repeatedly.

postdrop: warning: mail_queue_enter: create file maildrop/753939.14: Permission denied

In looking at directory permissions under /var/lib/docker/overlay2/232205ad73e37b446757d2ebd880747e0cf353c8002d035043964887df346317/diff/var/spool/postfix they appear to have the same ownwership and permissions of another server that is working.

Any idea how we might be able to fix this? We opened a ticket but guessing their support may be offline at the moment.

I had the same issue with OLS not updating, and I can confirm the fix 🙂
The only different thing I did was swap OLS to Apache and back from UI (instead of CLI).

Regarding the postfix issue, when you update to 11.0.x, appcd initiates an apt install for the required packages. If this fails due to a network issue, package conflict or similar then it is not automatically retried.

From the control panel server, run:

appcd-cli 1.1.1.1 install-mta
appcd-cli 1.1.1.1 install-imap

Replace 1.1.1.1 with the IP of the server which has the issue.
