Upgrade to version 11 problem

I am trying to upgrade Enhance to version 11 but it takes a long time, then I got disconnected from SSH. I logged in again and can't run the update/upgrade command. Then I rebooted the server and ran the command again, and:

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

I run the command sudo dpkg --configure -a, then

**Setting up appcd (3.0.0) ...

Building PHP chroot environments, this may take a very long time depending on your connection speed. Please be patient.

It takes more than an hour and still there, nothing happens

What should I do?

tomtr202 Maybe try using screen so you can connect back to the session if it drops so you can see what is happening.

Did you try to run an apt update and upgrade before trying to upgrade enhance.

If it takes too long, it looks like your server is too weak. Minimum is 2 cores and 4gb ram.

tomtr202 Not sure what your issue is but I just did a new test install on a VPS with 2GB Ram and 1 core it was quick and runs fine with DNS/email roles, storage is NVMe and the server it is on is a AMD Ryzen 7 5800X

probably check your disk space as well

There are some reports that having an invalid hostname on your system can prevent the Postfix installation from succeeding. As root, try:

hostname yourserver.domain.com
chroot /var/enhance_container_images/postfix
apt install postfix

Then proceed as before.

If that doesn't fix it please send a support ticket.

I have created a ticket, and Adam helped me solve the problem.
Note: Everyone should have a valid hostname for future update/upgrade
