This is a major update. Please ensure you have at least 2GB of free disk space before installing. All PHP containers will be restarted when appcd is updated. Once installed, /var/enhance_container_images can be removed.

PHP containers now mirror the file system of the host o/s, with sensitive directories hidden.
Software installed on the host o/s can now be accessed within the PHP container.
New PHP packages will be installed as apt packages on the host o/s.

PHP CLI can now be accessed from the host o/s. This should not be used to administer websites.
Significant reduction in disk space requirement for new installations.
Ioncube loader is now available for PHP 8.3.

Ok, that was a physical server running several of our main sites, all went well. About 3 minutes.

We have temporarily pulled this update as a small number of customers were having issues. It seems that on some systems the /etc/resolv.conf on the host o/s is immutable and that causes problems for the overlayfs. There is also an issue with interactive SSH.

There will be a 4.0.1 release in a few hours.

It's not related. The 11.0.3 core update is very minor.

For anyone updating, it's very important that you're running either Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04. The new packages are not tested on any other distribution.

I have a problem with mail, Roundcube stopped working and mail backups are also not created. So in short I have a problem with email services :/
I am waiting for a solution and a reply to the ticket.
Let everyone hold off on updating.

I'm seeing this in 11.0.3 for regular backups as well ..without appcd 4.0.x.
I have opened a ticket.

Edit: Now backups are working.. not sure what the connection was.. but for nearly 7 hrs I had no automated backups.

Just updated all servers to 4.0.1.
About 3 minutes.

Everything seems perfectly fine.

So, it seems that it was also my fault. I was using Ubuntu 23.10 on a server with mail.
I did the upgrade to 24.04 and appcd 4.0.1 and it looks like everything is working. Thanks also to Adam for his help!!!
