Integration Kuma opensource infrastructure monitoring

I'm looking into monitoring right now and I have to +1 this request.

If it's just basic uptime monitoring, we use Cloudflare Health Checks that trigger support emails and in some cases, even calls.

digitalexpanse I didn't know CF had this. Upon checking, you need to be on a Pro plan.

Because CF APO doesn't play well with Litespeed, I'm on free CF for static websites and Quic.Cloud for dynamic ones.
Therefore I don't have this CF monitoring option.

2 years ago, I bought BetterUptime on AppSumo. Now and then, they have excellent deals for monitoring apps.

Inexpensive, self-hosted PHP script, no recurring fees, Linux and Windows agents to install and monitor and graph things beyond simple uptime, etc. Several notification channels (not as many as Kuma though!) Clients with a dedicated server/VPS can be added as additional user to offer monitoring for their specific servers.

MediaServe Looks great! I like no recurring fees.

I'm starting to dive into the monitoring situation for Enhance.

The other day my application server was very slow, and I was seeing processor usage peaking at over 300% at times in the Hetzner console. Using the enhance console I wasn't able to determine which specific website was abusing the resources (fortunately it normalized after a reboot).

My question would be, should we also monitor the containers? and, how would you all go and troubleshoot situations like what I mentioned?

Something similar to Cloudlinux LVE monitor is being developed, so we can track usages of all users through a single panel. That will be really helpful to know who is using what amount of resources!

from my experience......:
please don't integrate such thing in enhance....... grafana in plesk is "*****" .. 🙂

we use a special prometheus/ grafana stack for monitoring that has to be up and running without any conclusins in the controlpanel. please leave this seperated....

Powie Hello Powie! I did not get your message. Do you mean because Plesk failed at doing it with Grafana, it's not a good idea for Enhance?
What are your reasons why Enhance shouldn't integrate with an AMP tool?

Hi,

Very satisfied with UptimeKuma. For anyone using it, how are you monitoring your custom DNS servers?

I mean: I want to monitor my Enhance DNS servers, not just using PING, but the specific DNS check that UptimeKuma has to ensure dns response is ok.

I tried the way below, but it did not work. It always shows monitor down.

Monitor Type: DNS
Hostname: mydomain.com (is a domain hosted in Enhance)
Resolver Server: ns1.dnsserver.com (one of my custom Enhance nameservers)
Port: 53
Resource Record Type: Here I already tried A and NS

Any advice or idea? Thanks!
