We have servers with various storage sizes, including 1TB, and the default Enhance installation size has been stable and reasonable. I suggest reaching out to Enhance support to diagnose what's happening with your servers. We encountered similar issues on a couple of boxes with excessive logging, which we resolved by using a simple script to regularly truncate log files. Now, we run this script on all our Enhance servers as a precaution.
Regarding backups, I recommend using a cheap storage 1TB VPS and adding a backup role to it. This reliable solution works seamlessly. It's surprising how many people struggle with Enhance S3 backups when the amazing Enhance incremental backup system works perfectly and saves both money and space.
Regarding RAM usage, yes, it will be higher because Enhance relies on Docker containers. However, in our experience, it’s nowhere near the 50% you're seeing. It’s much less, and the benefits of using containers far outweigh the cons.
As for resources management and ease of use, those are the main reasons we switched to Enhance. It’s the best in the market for ease of use, and resource management is always on track if configured properly. We did face a challenge with poorly written PHP scripts abusing MySQL resources, causing high server loads in some rare cases. To address this, we developed a module in our software, cPFence, which gives us full control over our servers by automatically blacklisting users with poorly written PHP scripts without them even noticing. This issue can occur with other panels as well, such as CyberPanel and DirectAdmin.
Considering Enhance support is top-notch, I’m curious why you didn’t reach out to them to resolve your issues?
