Upgrade Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04

Hi! I've noticed that after the update, my RAM usage increased by about 10-12 percent. How is it for you?

Yeah, pretty much the same experience here. It’s especially noticeable on smaller VPS setups I’m seeing more like a 20% increase in RAM usage. It’s a big hit for low-end servers. I really wish we could roll those back to version 22. If anyone’s running on a low-end VPS, definitely stick to version 22. Seems like the issue is less noticeable on dedicated servers or high-end VPS, but for smaller setups, it’s a real pain.

My server on Ubuntu 22.04 was using around 40 percent of RAM, but now it’s 60 percent on Ubuntu 24.04, which in my opinion is a disaster... If I had known earlier, I wouldn’t have upgraded my VPS to the newer version...

I am seing 24.04 running slightly higher memory usage than 22.04 as well. They are both fast, running flawless, so it's all good though!
