Google Drive backups or server backup supported

Hi!
I just came from Cyberpanel. I prefer Google Drive backups. Does Enhance have such an option?

Also, can I make a folder on the server to store the backup (same as the panel)? My VPS providers don't have object storage, and I also don't want to pay extra apart from the panel and server prices.

CyberPanel and enhance are different panels.

Enhance currently doesn't have Google Drive backup, but supports S3 backups.
You cannot create a backup folder on the same server. The whole drive should be partitioned as btfrs.

You can get a cheap VPS from contabo or buyvm.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will it support Backblaze b2. I usually run WordPress websites.

Also another question. Should the panel be on a different server as well and the apps on another server?

When I installed Enhance, it asked me for a subdomain. I only have one server at the moment, which I planned to run all the websites on. So, I selected one of the website's subdomain as the panel login. The main domain runs WordPress (OLS) on the previous panel. If I migrate that domain to the enhanced hosted server, will it create problems? I tried migrating using WPvivid but after complete installation, it shows the cyberpanel default page.

It already does.. use the backblaze S3 compatible settings.
PS Enhance backups are a better option than S3.. make sure you read the documentation about them.

Yes. I read the documentation. So a VPS storage server (slightly more expensive than S3) will provide snapshots with the changes and take less storage than the S3 storage, creating an entire compressed version of the app (sounds like what cyberpanel does with Google Drive backups).

Not to mention, the VPS storage server will have better speed as well.

RomanTheRizz Those kinds of backups are incremental.. not compressed.. since they use btrfs much space is saved.

RomanTheRizz Yes, it will be a bit more costly for the VPS, but the first few restores will make it worth every penny, particularly if you have a lot of data to restore and get hit with various S3 bucket fees. There is much room for growth in the Enhance backup system, but even as it stands, it is one of the better out-of-box backup systems on a cluster-enabled panel. Try it out, test it and I am sure you will see what many of us experience.

Like @xyzulu advised, I highly recommend taking advantage of the Enhance Incremental Backup system. It's awesome and will save you both money and space. Just get a cheap storage VPS from AlphaVPS, add a backup role to it, and forget about the outdated S3 method. If you want to go the extra mile, you can also back up your backup server to a Hetzner storage box using something like BorgBackup or a similar tool.

Just to share, the issue with S3 isn't always the ingress costs. It's actually the deleting of files less than usually 90days. (depending on company policy)

Backing up a cpanel host that was 500GB per day to S3 (wasabi) cost us a fortune on premature deleting fee's not ingress fee's or storage fees. Likewise we didn't want to balloon the entire storage into the 50TB+ range just to get around deletion policy.

Enhances backup solution is incredibly effective and efficient in comparison.
