Problem Renaming A Clone of Stagged WP Website

Hi!
I tried migrating my website (example.com) to a subdomain (clone.example.com) using WP Guru Migration. It was completed successfully and the clone was the exact copy of the website on the other hosting.

How should I proceed from here? Everything is working on the subdomain. I want to move it to the main domain but on the enhanced panel I don't see any website and URL renaming.

Also, I tried cloning the clone.example.com to the example.com from the panel with the WP-CLI option replacing entries of the old domain with the new one. Even though it states the website name, the WordPress section shows clone.example.com. Not the new one. I even pointed the domain to the enhance hosted server IP but it would always redirect to clone.example.com. I tried changing the domain from the panel for redirection but it won't change at all.

An update. I tried following the documentation for stagging. Made a staging site on a different domain and migrated the data using WP Migration Guru. Then push live to the actual domain. However, still, in the WordPress section, it shows the URL of the stagged domain. When I try to rename it, though it says changes have been made but it's the same domain and redirects me to the stagged domain.

Could be a caching issue, could be a DNS caching issue, or something else, there's not a lot to go on. If you've updated the Site URL in the Wordpress app section and cleared all caches etc, check what the Inspect function tells you in your browser (Ctrl+Shift+I for my firefox, but check for your browser) about why it's redirecting.

Pretty sure it's a basic thing somewhere.

rdbf Yes could be a caching issue. But shouldn't the WordPress app URL be updated to the live site URL as well in the panel? It is still showing the staged website one. And the redirect is still there. The website has high traffic so I am pointing the DNS now to the old server.

Checked the SQL entries which are also pointing to the live URL.

Contacted support. Fixed it within a minute. WP-config was hard coded.
