Move website from backups when source server is offline

Hello,

I tried to find answers but I couldn't, if there is a topic about this please remove this one.

I'm having troubles with my current VPS provider. Their servers are keep going offline without prior information. Now I'm moving out but there are some servers still offline, which I have backups in my backup server.

However without going to support and ask for Adams help, I couldn't find a way to extract backups from the backup server, when the production server is offline.

I believe we should have an option in 'Move Server' page which will let us choose the source. Backup or the Prod?

wbknght like Adam said, there's a disaster recovery process built in, it's very simple and mostly automated.

I'd highly recommend reviewing all of the documentation cover to cover, it goes over s lot of things like this that are critical to know before shtf.

If the source server is totally lost, mark it decommissioned from the servers section of the panel. You can then migrate the websites to another server in your cluster using the backup data as the data source.
