XN-Matt Agreed, but we can not control behavior or decisions of people and once warning is added its upto the users to follow it or not, enhance will not responsible for it, but giving this reason to completely ignore the benifits of branching enhance development is not good, agreed that enhance is small but it'll far better to manage with branching out than current path.
Alpha/beta branching's main objective is to collect feedback not to resolve things or offer immediate fixes, priority is and will always be production branch, that's the trade off when users decide to jump in beta testing, users should be responsible enough to not use beta environments in production that'd be a stupid move..
