CWP is another example of open source panel, they take security seriously and im sure its a well known panel as well and thousands of servers might be running on it
This is what I said, you and I are telling the same thing in different ways. Read my very first statement in this thread ( It is not just with CyberPanel...security incidents can happen with any software/control panels. But the way they handled this incident was the problem ). So I am not sure what exactly you are trying to differ from my points
i will just not say that cyberpanel will bounce back or anything, i will never support or recommend that sh*ty panel to anyone ever!
You need to accept the ( bitter ) fact that this may not be a dead point for Cyberpanel. They will be around as long as people have specific requirements. Today's incident is tomorrow's history and people do not bother history if they need cheap/free solutions. I hope Cyberpanel team will learn from this and handle things better in the future.
That said, I am not trying to justify anyone or any company here. What I am trying to say how important is to follow the procedure to handle such things. As a software vendor, we follow this ( our software was audited by Rack911 twice ) and take proper actions to ensure they are covered. We are planning for our next periodic security audit in early 2025 to check the latest changes.
Also I want to tell you again that we have no affiliation with Cyberpanel. Considering all our official/technical conversations with all control panel teams, we were treated best by Enhance...I wish to convey sincere thanks from all of us at OPSSHIELD to Adam and his team for that.
