v12 delays
I appreciate the new roadmap and the time it takes to do re-architectures. This upgrade looks solid and adjusts the architecture to be more flexible and scalable which is awesome.
I only need two features though to migrate to enhance and these aren't in the active roadmap yet:
- Enable passthrough of βrealβ user IP from known Cloudflare IPs across all web server kinds.
- Framework for compilation/installation of custom PHP modules.
Man, I'm not sure if I'm ready for the release, it really feels like "It's not the destination, it's the journey that counts".
It has been a lovely journey guys, cheers to many more enthusiasm from the Enhance team.
Shaijee We're still planning to release on Monday 10th!
Aliysa_Enhance Amazing news thank you both!
Aliysa_Enhance Still planning for Monday? Or this time is really planned and confirmed?
sikmo I have been a customer and in production with Enhance since February 10, 2023! That is, in 2 days it will be exactly 2 years! Whoa already!
I must have asked 2 or 3 times max the question about threads created by others and that we have been waiting for for about 6 months!
So I don't think I deserve your bad-tempered response...
sikmo ngl it makes me feel better to see other ppl posting/commenting lol
as much as everyone was waiting for this revolutionary and door opening new version to arrive, I am sure only few will jump in and update minutes after release, some will wait to see if any issues then jump in and others will wait some more to see if tested and all good
monday is the start of a busy week for enhance
myself personally will wait a bit after release and see the outcome of the beta testers
Isaia-Arknet_PTY_LTD , I am sure only few will jump in and update minutes after release, some will wait to see if any issues then jump in and others will wait some more to see if tested and all good
I bet a lot of impatient people will and they'll be the same ones who then rush to the forum that stuff has broken.
XN-Matt well to be honest, isn't that the point? like if everyone would wait till it's tested, no one would update and test it
so it's kinda "wanted" to go to forum and post about latest update. Of course, you should also contact support, but what if you just did something wrong? Maybe community will know.
I would not blame anyone to post about some problem with latest update. If they post it as genuine post and not hateful one.
Isaia-Arknet_PTY_LTD God bless those brave souls that blaze a trail into the unknown... And report back their findings
Many people here have said that they prefer to wait longer and have well-polished software. So why the concern about the update now? Don't you trust the Enhance team?
