We're not forcing an update to 12.0.0, you can run 11.0.4 for as long as you like. We haven't provided any kind of early access to vendors so if you're using 3rd party addons you should wait until they confirm readiness before updating Enhance.

You should start rollbacking all custom things, we put everything on hold, we had opportunity to implement custom things but we decided to wait until official release bcz instead of bricking server its better to wait!

I prefer the proper solution over my own workarounds, so I'll happily spend some time getting on the path to the future!

I assume there won't be some unattended-upgrade that will half-update parts of some servers, but that it's a deliberate process that needs to be started, which would be good.

Would it be a per-server process, or a whole estate process? And would it be beneficial to have a few spare servers ready for fresh installs followed by some website-shuffeling?

There's nothing crazy, everything can be turned off without impacting the business, it was mostly tongue-in-cheek from my side, although it might be reality for people running huge Enhance estates with proper customisations.

No there won't. 12.0.0 is a manual upgrade, one server at a time. There is no requirement to update all your servers at the same time but the control panel server will not talk to any servers which have not yet been upgraded.

It's great that version 12.0.0 will be released in February because there is practically a whole year to implement new features that some are eagerly waiting for.

After the upgrade to 12.0.0 you can just use apt.
