No, the Enhance Backup role, when a website is assigned to it, keeps it on that server with the backup role.
hypersaurabh I am trying to find a way to disable backup of s3 for one site but there is no option other than to take manual backup.
If you insist in requiring S3 backup for some sites, it will be problematic. Once you have a backup server with the Enhance backup role, it will default to that server for the backups and not use S3.
The whole point of the last posts is to ask why you would even want to use S3, since a server with the Enhance backup role is superior in every way.
- It doesn't create a full zip sucking up CPU+memory+disk space while zipping/uploading
- It doesn't require a full upload, only the diff since the last backup
- It actually deletes data after the retention period (which S3 does not)
- Egress from restoring is probably free
So what makes you want to keep using S3?
