Anyone facing issues with servers from hetzner. All of our servers are inaccessible. Infact, their cloud login is also not working.
Is hetzner down?
Works for me, everything is up, website and cloud-dashboard is live.
Could be your side, try from another IP or provider.
badboybackagain probably is normal to bad boys lol
My servers are online and console works as usual.
Since i'm new on hetzner (5 months) I'm still forming an opinion, but i've read some bad stories on reddit, please update us on your case if you encounter any issues.
badboybackagain your servers are down most likely because they banned you due to some security issues you created them. I am assuming this based on your username here…

Kosta These are the things I read on reddit and the thing that scares me the most about this provider.
We're a normal web agency and we do absolutely nothing scammy (even if we're italian ), but even just the thought that someone could delete everything, without giving me the chance to verify or solve, scares me a little. In the end, I decided to create the largest part of Enhance cluster on Heztner (keeping CP and backup outside), cause I wanted to change provider anyway, but this thing still bothers me a little

Me too, you certainly want to ensure you have the backup role with another provider!
Read the same horror stories of them shutting down far larger providers doing 6 figures per month if those posts can be believed.
I also keep hearing these Hetzner horror stories, but I’ve never been able to confirm any that were fully Hetzner’s fault. We got our first dedicated server from them back in 2011 and haven’t faced any serious issues in all these years.
From what I’ve seen, many of these cases involve users making avoidable mistakes, like ignoring abuse emails for months until their account gets locked, or leaving their server wide open to exploitation. For example, I once saw a client with 650 websites on a Hetzner server where three of those sites were hacked for months, sending spam and launching DDoS attacks non-stop. Naturally, their IP ended up flagged everywhere, from VirusTotal to AbuseIPDB, with reports of criminal activity like spamming, hacking attempts, and more. The server owner wasn’t even aware of the situation, let alone acting on the abuse emails from Hetzner. What do you expect Hetzner to do in such cases? Of course, they’ll shut the account down.
The issue is that many of these users later take to forums and social media, claiming they did "nothing wrong" while portraying Hetzner as the villain. However, failing to secure your server or address abuse complaints makes you complicit, regardless of your intentions. It’s unfortunate to see so many people renting dedicated servers, starting companies, and selling hosting services when, at best, they should be using a managed reseller account or a managed VPS while taking the time to learn and gain experience until they are truly ready for this step.
That said, it's always good to stay cautious; you never know what's going to happen. Follow the 3-2-1 backup strategy and back up your backups.

cPFence For example, I once saw a client with 650 websites on a Hetzner server where three of those sites were hacked for months, sending spam and launching DDoS attacks non-stop. What do you expect? I expect an email, a call, an alert, or the Public IP suspended, the VPS shutted down, dunno but not the account cancellation. Sites are hacked and problems can happen, you cannot IN ANY WAY delete my account, for my opinion. The only reason i can accept is for payment, for that reason you could delete it, but if i have 10 servers with 600 website, you cannot delete my infrastructure for one hacked, before deleting my account you could suspend that IP, shutoff that machine, email me, etc. There is no excuse imho, it's simple a bad practice (if really happen).
That said, I have CP on Azure and the Backup server in an other provider cause this policy, so i case of problem i can restore everything, but it will cost hours, hope will never happen.
I completely agree, terminating an account without prior notice or warning is absolutely unacceptable. From what I know, Hetzner does send warnings for abuse cases and requests prompt action. My point was directed at those who ignore these warnings, don’t follow up on their inbox, or even have Hetzner’s emails blocked, and then complain afterward. Proper communication is key in such cases.
There are times I received abuse notices from them (Like 5 times or so in a year) for hosting copyrighted content and social engineering sites. I acted immediately they informed me of such, so I never had my server stopped or account cancelled. In many cases if you act in time there won't be a problem.
same here - got complains about one customer about spamming from his IP subnet, after I sorted this out within hours, everything fine. no block, no hassle. If you react in a proper timeframe, everything is fine. If you ignore their emails, you get suspended - same what we do with our customer if they run us in trouble.
cPFence We did had issues with lack of automation on hetzners control panel, which resulted to the decision not to use servers from them, but :
Support was always answering within 30 min -1 hour
Abuse warning where sent and time was given to rectify the situation
So i can't really blame them, and i think for the price they are great

And just downright scammers. This happens on all low priced VPS but high quality providers. Someone does spam, ignores warnings, gets suspended or just deleted when its obvious scammer. Scammer creates a review where they seem like an innocent victim to try to pressure the company for a refund or just because they are angry. Also many idiots with legit sites that get hacked will ignore warning emails. I've sent warning emails about domains expring with OBVIOUS subject lines. After site goes down.... "why didn't you tell me???"
What probably happens is spammer spins up VPS and does spam things. Brand new account and immediately getting spam reports. Delete account because if you warn them and they behave better, they are still spammers on your hosting.
An account with a year of no issues get a hacked server? Suspend the server not the account.
As you said, you should never trust a provider or even your own hardware too much. Failures happen. An account suspension, datacenter fire, or a nuke shouldn't kill your hosting business.
From my experience, they never take your servers down without notice. Hetzner in particular has an abuse system where you need to submit a response within 24 hours after an abuse report. And even if you fail it will grant you a few more days to comply. Also in case you don't comply and you don't respond, it will just take down that server, not all your servers.
Abuse requests we had over the years are mostly related to copyright issues with certain images on client sites.
We also had a lot of DMCA requests sent directly to Hetzner by DMCA lawyers. But never had any issues with servers being taken down. We always responded in due time and if we couldn't fix a issue in 24 hours as they request, we just submit a response with a message saying we're in contact with the client to fix the issue and they always gave us more time to comply.
We also had cases of court orders to take down content, and entire articles defaming persons or celebrities, in which we protected the client who provided evidence of the case. Some were also news articles and had real reasons to be published under free-press laws and were also protected and not taken down despite the abuse reports to Hetzner.
So no, Hetzner will not take down your server without proper reason, also it will not take down an entire account if it is registered to a real company. Not even for not paying an invoice. It will disable the services after 30 days of not paying, not immediately, and even then it will wait a bit longer to fully remove the servers. Not sure after how much time server removal will occur as it never happened to us.
Also we had issues with DDOS attacks. In these cases, Hetzner will simply block an IP or re-route it to a null-address. In which case we just purchased another IP and now we have backup IPs on most servers with them. So we can simply just swap an IP with another in case of a DDOS attack and null-routing the old one.
JohnB that’s why i am leaving comments “get your own hardware and place it across few DCs and manage your IT so no one to be able to shut u down, apart of DC well”… but no one listening and getting vps and dedis where they find cheap price then coming and saying oh my server down or not performing well causing issues to any software you put on it.
Guys get your own network switches your own rack servers buy them get loan if don’t have funds right now it will pays off your bills.
It’s very simple you can’t rent servers and then provide services to your customers from that servers you can’t guarantee anything this way…
Other topic was 25 websites on 4GB ram vps omfg really ? I am offering 2vcpus and 4GB ram from my own server for only one website but they think they can host 25 websites on same system unbelievable
My Hetzner server started misbehaving this morning. One of two sites went down. Getting SSL warnings despite there being a valid SSL.
Have not got the the bottom of this yet...
i have seen those on reddit. but its always 1 side of the story.
why would any business close an account for no reason spending hundreds of dollars on their platform. it's just not logical.
@badboybackagain are you back again ?
