phpmyadmin cannot be accessed

When I click on the PhpMyAdmin link from the website control panel, I am unable to access it. My website is running fine, but I can't access the database.

Unable to access this website
phpmyadmin.****.com unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Please try the following:

Check network connection
Check proxy server and firewall

Does the db exist and has a user with access to it? And the phpmyadmin url config in panel settings is setup with that subdomain and the dns has been set to point at it correctly?
