When creating a mail account I think the primary domain should be selected by default as the email domain. No the list is alphabetically sorted and the top row is selected. This will often lead to create by accident a mail account on the alias domain instead of the primary domein. Especially if you have something like mydomain.com (primary) and my-domain.com (alias). In that case the my-domain.com will be selected by default.
