Vendoz I also have a ticket open for the backup bugs. Waiting for a response already give access to my server to give a look to the problem.

I also encountered a issue with the website cloning feature it fails but this is not first world problems since this can be easily done manually (of course prefer not) but backup and restore is a important one to get fixed. How many times i have clients that mess thing up to get back to me for a restore haha

anturk By my fresh installed V12 I've also tested website cloning. That worked for me without problem. But the backup&restore problem is still need to be fixed. My restored Wordpress website came across 404 Error and the /wp-admin area with 403 error. However, I still can manage all the plugins or themes through Enhance App management. I don't know if it's the alike problem on your side. Let's just wait for Adam to resolve this.

bgeek So to comeback to this adding new roles which didn't work was a stupid mistake on my side lol
The ports that we're needed was only open to the IP of the second server not to the open web so also not to the new server ip of the fresh server oops.
Website cloning will be fixed in next patch. On your side you get error on my side it says completed and doesn't do it
Backup is Adam looking into it (didn't gave him a restore point to test so now i gave that)

I have done a step-by-step update on 3 servers. Currently I do not see any problems.

Just upgraded, mostly seems fine and it went smoothly. I just had to update the allowed IPs for some mysql users to what I'm guessing is a new internal IP

The only single thing I've noticed is the file manager seems to crash if the website has a symbolic link.

If you are connecting to the local server, you should use localhost - this will cause PHP to use the unix socket which will give you better performance and reliability. If you are connecting to the public IP, previously this was masqueraded via the internal Docker IP which no longer exists.

Does anyone have a problem with the Upmind API in recent days? now after the v12 update it doesn't work at all and I don't know if it's Upmind or Enhance's fault. I created the tickets with a ask.

Having backup issues here after updating as well. Backups completely disappeared in the panel after updating. After following the v12-upgrade fix-backup-permissions /backups command to generate the list to fix this, going down through running the "useradd" and "chown" commands for each site in the list appears to be deleting any backups older than 30 days (we have 90 day retention enabled).

In addition to this, no Files are available to restore in any of the backups, only Databases and Email accounts. If any website is Files only (no databases or email accounts in the account) the Backup screen appears like it is only half loaded (gray background with no content or backups listed). Refreshing takes you back to the list of websites, which is another bug that will be fixed in a future update.

Also no new backups have been running post upgrade, so not sure what is going on there yet.

Ticket logged earlier, but support is obviously very busy right now so patiently waiting.

AdamR Have the same issue, we get list of backups but only email/db can be restored. also new backups creating in wierd hours and multilple times a day for some websites.. @Adam confirm there is something weird going on in our system, still waiting for updates on investigation.

I had the same issue with backups not running. In the end I fixed it be moving all the backups to another server, remove the backup role from the original server, decommissioned the temporary server and restored the backup role to the original server. After that some backups where failing the first time but now they are all created.

Still having a disk space usage with the backups being created. I have the mail role separated from the application role so two servers are pushing backups to the backup server. My webserver has 22 GB of user data, my mail server has 11 GB of data and currently my 36 hours of backup (every 4 hours) are consuming 140 GB. This was earlier not the case. Than almost a month of backup history only took around 40 GB.

I think this is caused by having two processes creating backups (one from the webserver, one from the mail server) which makes that the rsync/snapshot functionality does not work well. The /current folder also contains only the last backup of one of the two roles. Not a complete set. This might be the cause. Will make a ticket for this.

mbe81 Thanks for the information! When you followed this procedure, did you lose your backup retention? Also, did you use rsync or scp to transfer data between servers and then back to the original?

We have eight servers, hundreds of websites, and terabytes of backup data, so I’m really hoping we don’t have to migrate backups to another server, reload the original, and then move them back. Our upgrade went smoothly—no errors, and we followed the procedure exactly—so I’m not sure what would make this method different from a direct upgrade, unless something went wrong that didn’t get outputted.

The backup system was a major reason we moved to Enhance, and it’s worked really well for us so far. I’m hoping they can get this sorted out, but if worst comes to worst, we may have to spin up another server.

I thought the behaviour was changed because I read something about rsync and hard links. I confirmed the high disk usage with the df command. But here also the output of the btrfs commands. No shared sets. Will add this to the ticket as well.
