Website hosts that spends hours posting error comments here with customers websites down for hours but can’t send a support ticket to resolve problems in 5-10 minutes ???

My 99.998% uptime on CP server for a year with enhance and my newbie admin skills! Could be 100% uptime, if ain’t been rebooting it.
I’m proud of Enhance and me lol

Kosta probably most of your websites are based in wordpress that's why , laravel and other frameworks have had issues on enhance from time to time specially with directory permissions

My updated list of issues after the update:

FTP accounts have disappeared. Nobody connects.
Account backups have disappeared from the control panel.
Some sites went offline, making it necessary to run apt install mariadb-server [SOLVED]
Some websites crash when trying to download files. [Nextcloud].
A website had coding issues after the change.

So far most MySQL issues I've seen have been caused by running the commands in the wrong order. You must follow the guide precisely. Do not run apt install mariadb-server first, this will install the Ubuntu package which is very old and not compatible with your data directory.

Adam Just what I did. This will brick the upgrade process. Uninstalling it doesn't fix it either. Waiting for your input via support.

I did the same thing, I didn't have much of a choice, everything was offline. Also waiting for support

All smooth, aside from the mentioned mariadb hickup that Adam solved. Thanks for that.

Few odd things I noticed:

no backups are shown, either on the backup role or on the website itself. But once you make a manual backup, which works fine, the whole history for that site shows up.
DNS role is showing 0 DNS zones. But submitting a query to the nameserver via dig does get the correct values.

Adam explained that the backups will appear in the next backup performed.

I wiped my server , installed fresh ubuntu and then ran the login command
it thinks for a few seconds showing some commands but then fails

I think you have Ubuntu 20.04. You need 22.04 or 24.04 to run Enhance. The installer should have warned you about that, we will investigate.

I think this is a UI issue, we will fix it. If you followed the DNS conversion step in the upgrade process then your DNS is safe.

We have checked v12 compatibility with cPGuard. Everything works fine except WAF ( expected ) which needs slight amendments. It is already fixed in OLS and we are waiting for Litespeed, Apache, and Nginx servers to check and fix WAF. The fix is quick and just need upgraded servers to test. We will keep posted with the updates for cPGuard users here.

-During the database server conversion from Docker, dependency errors whilst removing potentially conflicting packages are now non-fatal.

webnestify I do like it when I’m installing and updating stuff even when it’s says no reboot required… I won’t do it much in production environments.

Adam If so, set the group owner of that directory to www-data and it should fix the problem.

Kosta Yeah with live kernel patching I feel pretty safe about never rebooting lol... Hey Q for you, how long did the upgrade run take to complete and during the upgrade were your websites offline for any length of time? Just curious 🙂
