twest I feel for all these poor souls with down servers though, it's so damn stressful, heart palpitations and sweaty palms, customers beating down your mailbox, the uncertainty and fear of losing customers... I can't take it

Yup I always do these updates at night. NEVER during day. My customers are all in one country and I've never had them notice downtime at night...

And yet I still get sweaty palms and seeing that 99.99 uptime (sometimes 99.9999%) plumet with every minute is so demoralizing. Anxiety of if rollback goes wrong (despite testing it lol).

After upgrading to 12 everything went well, except that I cannot manage any websites. When I click on a website it loads for a split second and then throws me back to the website overview page. Any one experience the same thing?

Guys, i'm doing something wrong or some features missing in 12.0.0 release? Roadmap for v12.0.0 was more richer.

nsevimov You're not wrong. A handful of features didn't make it into the release, the 'default TTL setting' and 'DS and CAA support' are coming soon.

The 'single page UI' also didn't make it into the release. Following feedback, we are finessing the UX and decided that it was best to exclude rather than delay the release any further.

They won't take long to release features after v12. They need to adjust the "basics".

Some bugs have already been found and they are working to fix them. Once the basic things are stable, I believe they will launch more quickly.

I think their priority will be to fix these bugs that we have already quickly identified. Then everything will be faster.

Be patient.

They are under pressure and stress. Imagine the number of tickets they are handling while listing bugs and fixes. You have to be patient.

nsevimov I don’t think the release notes is really the best place to list features that haven’t been released. Depending on any unforeseen issues that may pop up during any given development cycle the release notes could end up a big old list of 'have nots.'

However that said, we understand there's always room for improvement and now we have the foundations to release faster and more frequently we will shortly be changing how we communicate upcoming releases - I'm confident it will be easier to track.

Is not not possible to create a FTP account with access to the top level folder anymore in v12? I can only create FTP accounts when specifying a sub folder it should have access to and / is not valid.

I admit that I had a few hiccups with the migration and had to contact support (one DB server failed to migrate, we had a known problem with webmail, FTP users migrated improperly, and not working vhost includes). However, I really like the new system layout with the main services directly on the host system, as it allows much more customization to our needs than the original docker version. 👍️

Issues with the update (gap in the graph) resolved with Adam's help, thank you. Metric monitoring through Wazuh preserved, and after the update, all containers experienced reduced load, which is fantastic. As I wrote in another thread here, I will continue with Wazuh configuration and share my findings.

For those who haven't updated yet, wait for the release of a new version with corrections.

I'm having problems with some sites on different servers with the same problem, ftp doesn't work, some databases disappeared, the cloudflare api isn't working, the backup stopped working and only the manual is working.

For those who have multiple clients, this is not the best scenario to upgrade. hehe

franco this is a BETA release and should be handled like that 🙂 after all the team did a lot of changes, i tested on test cluster saw the issues and decided to wait.

Please make sure you list each issue you find and report them to the Enhance Team if you haven’t already.

Also, try testing the migration process if you can. One of my team members noticed random failures during test migrations, but I haven’t had time to dig into it myself yet. If you get a chance to test it, that would be helpful.

Worth mentioning a few things we came across:

To access the LS/OLS admin panel in v12, you need to manually open the port:

  sudo ufw allow 7080
  sudo ufw reload
```
When adding a new server, you might see the IPv6 being picked instead of IPv4, which causes the role installation to fail. Adam mentioned the next version will fix it, but for now, you can just manually correct the IP.
The MySQL issue has been fixed in the latest update , can confirm that one is good now.

I'm glad there are people that upgraded with no issues at all, and I'm sorry for those that faced them.

I'll definitely wait for the cPFence update before upgrading to v.12, not to mess anything up.

Either way, I'd wait a couple of days, just to make sure the Enhance team has enough time to support me on time with any potential upgrade issues, considering I am unlucky enough.

The tickets might be piling up by now, so I think it would be beneficial to give them some time to resolve them and catch their breath, maybe even release more fixes based on the first wave, before more of us hop on the upgrade rollercoaster.

We’re almost done adapting cPFence for v12, so the update won’t be far off. That said, I’d still recommend holding off a little longer and letting the Enhance team work through the current issues and push a few more fixes. Always better to let the first wave clear things up before jumping in.
