xyzulu Can confirm that the restore indeed doesn't work and adding new roles to fresh added servers in the cluster also didn't work even after trying different updates.
Already opened a ticket for this two issue. Maybe someone else can try to do a restore (that did upgrade to v12) to see if it's maybe a only a issue on my side.
Automatic backups do actually work that was a mistake on my side.
