Enhance v12.0.0 Released 🎉

One of my sites is showing this error message since the upgrade to version 12.0.27
"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe"

and can't understand the reason as other websites running in the same server are working fine.
Has anybody had a similar problem?

Note:
I have changed the PHP versions up and down but the problem remains

alenguav This sounds like a possible WAF issue. Check the logs to see what is triggering the 403.

Most likely a permissions or ownership issue. I’d start by checking the .htaccess file and the public_html directory first.

If you have cPFence, you can try this

cpfence --fix-permissions-dry

This is a dedicated server with cpfence installed. there's no other firewall in between.

wav3front I had an issue after v12 migration (early adopter) where the pure-ftpd service was not installed. I had to manually run: v12-upgrade convert-all-ftps again to get it working.

This was the error:
sudo systemctl restart pure-ftpd
Failed to restart pure-ftpd.service: Unit pure-ftpd.service not found.

But I'm not sure about your case, it seems the ftp service is answering.

Enhance doesn't touch your ssh server, I think that's unrelated. Check sshd is running:

systemctl status ssh

Not related. You probably got temporarily blocked by cPFence brute force protection for failed login attempts. Try changing your IP and connect again. After you log in, make sure to whitelist your original IP.

I tried to migrate some websites to a new node.
but the migration has frozen for more than 1 hour now:

The last log entry is:

[11:47:10 03/07/2025] Updating backup config on destination server

This website is offline, database is not migrated.

Any idea what to do?

V12 is definitely stable now and performs noticeably better than v11 in terms of resource usage. It also provides a much cleaner architecture for developers to build on and extend the platform more easily. You’re better off getting yourself out of the Docker cage, it’s a perfect time to upgrade.
