dumb question on upgrade to v12

followed the instructions, but on the first step I get this:

Do you have the Enhance repo added to your system already? I should have been on v11 unless you messed around with apt sources??

xyzulu I didn't mess with apt sources, but I just upgraded the server from ubuntu v22 to v24.

I noticed the Enhance repo was not in the list when I ran apt update. How can I add it back in?

CloudyBlake check if /etc/apt/sources.list.d/enhance.list exists. If it's been renamed to enhance.list.distUpgrade, rename it back. Same for docker.list

In both files, replace any instances of jammy with noble.

Really? You ran an OS upgrade and yet don't know how to manage/fix the sources list? During the upgrade you would have been shown exactly which repos are being suppressed/changed.

Anyway.. on 24.04 you will need a file called enhance.list here: /etc/apt/sources.list.d
It's likely that it is currently set to the jammy release, not noble (see above posts from people braver than me 😉 ) .. but honestly.. don't just blindly cut and paste.. know what you are doing... don't just follow the directions of a person you don't know on an internet forum for such important steps.

After the update, check /etc/apt/sources.list.d/enhance.list. If it's been renamed to enhance.list.distUpgrade rename it back. Then replace any references to "jammy" to say "noble".

xyzulu I'm only partially dumb. I didn't particularly note the sources being changed, but once @DracoBlue pointed me to the sources list, I'm off to the races again.

now my only issue is a permissions problem mentioned by some others. laraval sites and whmcs down, just plain text in browser.

turns out that's not it. In the control panel I get a php container not found on the sites.

Log says this: /opt/ecp-php81/sbin/php-fpm: error while loading shared libraries: libldap-2.5.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Kosta it was a php issue, not necessarily a WHMCS issue.
