v12 upgrade: backups not showing from before the update

If you are in the situation that backups created before the upgrade are not showing or cannot be restored, run on the backup server

apt update && apt install ecp-core
v12-upgrade fix-backup-permissions /backups

Where /backups is the path that your backups are stored.

This won't do anything but it will output some recommended commands to fix the ownerships and add users where appropriate. If you have any questions or problems please send a support ticket.

Adam After running the commands it lists, if I run the v12-upgrade command above again, should it not still list the same things? I've been fixing the ownership permissions it lists, but it still shows the same things in the output.

The command will only show useradd commands if the users are missing. It will always show the chown commands; the command doesn't check if the permissions are actually wrong.

I get the issue, that i can't cerate backups manually, when adding new website, then i can manually add it again.

Edit: I noticed websites were missing on the backups, Manually adding the website folder names, until i now a smarter/faster way

The upgrade process doesn't change anything in the file structure on the backup server. If the directories are missing, is there any chance that the previous backup volume wasn't mounted?

Also we released 12.0.8 with some fixes and improvements for backups. I would recommend upgrading ecp-core on all of your servers if you are having backup issues.
