cPGuard version 5.58 is now available. The following are the major changes, along with other bug fixes and improvements.

Replaced rkhunter ( which is outdated now ) with lynis system auditing tool.

Added system resource monitoring UI

How does this affect me if I'm using the Enterprise edition of Lynis?

bluelinq-computers Your Lynis installation should be unaffected. We keep a separate package from their GIT to run our checks. We have implemented the basic system audits and reports in the current version. We will try to enhance it in the upcoming versions.

Have a few questions.
If I want to use cPGuard with Enhance, should I choose the full version or the lite version? Or will both versions work?
And if choosing the full version, does the WAF work with OpenLiteSpeed as well?

mbe81 Both versions work but with Lite, you will have the CLI only. If you need GUI, you may need the full version. cPGuard WAF and all other modules are completely compatible with OLS. We have many clients using OLS already on their servers without issues.

bluelinq-computers I am trying out now. Earlier used BitNinja, than I actually saw an increase in CPU load, from about 22-25% average to about 30% average. Now installed cPGuard, enabled almost everything and see CPU load dropping to 6% on average, measured over two days. So, until now, it really looks great!

When will real-time email protection be available?

DracoBlue We do not have a plan to add an email content filtering module at the moment. But our SRBL works well with RSPAMD to filter incoming email spam and block repeated spammers in our firewall. Additionally, we are working on a tool similar to ConfigServers OSM (as they are closing down) to detect outgoing spam emails. There is no ETA or confirmation about the new software piece; it is still under discussion. Along with that our new firewall enhancement is coming soon to cover major features in CSF. We are also checking the possibility of switching to NFT for advanced firewall control.
