Moving 300 WordPress Sites Plesk to Enhance – Questions & Challenges

Hello to this wonderful community,

I've just joined and am truly impressed by Enhance's features.

We are a WordPress/WooCommerce-based web agency, managing around 300 sites on multiple Plesk servers. Currently, we are conducting preliminary tests to migrate them to Enhance.

I’ll have some questions along the way, and I would greatly appreciate insights from experienced members. I will make sure to search the forum and documentation first before posting any questions.

Here are a few initial issues I’d like to consult you about:

1- When I try to import a site using the Plesk import tool, the process is incredibly slow. For example, when transferring via FTP (FileZilla), I can upload 7GB in just 15 seconds, whereas the Plesk import tool takes about 5 minutes to progress by 1%. What could be causing this?

2- Imunify360 cannot be installed on Enhance. How does cPFence compare? Would you recommend using cPFence as a security solution?

3- I plan to set up a simple, basic cluster with the following structure:

1 Cloud server for the Enhance panel
1 Dedicated server for APP/DB
1 Cloud server for backup
We use AWS Route53 for DNS.

We don’t provide hosting services to external clients—these servers will only host the websites we develop.
Does anything about this setup seem problematic to you? We have zero experience with clustering, so any advice is welcome.

4- As I understand, WordPress SSO doesn’t work properly due to OpenLiteSpeed. If we switch to Commercial LiteSpeed, will SSO function smoothly?

5- If anyone is running WooCommerce sites in production, could you share your experiences with Enhance?

I don't particularly have problems with CPGuard.

It is to install, activate the functions and run 1 full scan.

Then he does all the work.

You could open a ticket, the support is really helpful.
cPGuard if you want UI, cPFence is slightly cheaper(offers unlimited users)and is great if you don't mind terminal

I can confirm SSO does work for WP on Openlitespeed, I use it daily.

OpenliteSpeed on APP/DB server and Panel server. It's like 1mbit upload(I have 1gbit upload) 😃

Btw which OLS and Maria DB versions are you guys using? Is it necessary to update OLS and Maria DB to the latest version before installing Enhance or can we update it later? What is the best practice in this regard?

Which web server are you using? I noticed that file transfers through the browser are significantly slower on Apache. Try using OpenLiteSpeed instead. I reported this to Adam once, but I don't know if the issue was resolved.

You're welcome! We're using the latest OLS and MariaDB 11, you can set them up during the fresh install.

WordPress SSO works fine on OLS and subdomains for us on v11. If it’s not working on v12, it’s likely a bug and worth reporting to the Enhance team.

When I check I see that Enhance has installed the latest stable version of Maria DB 11.4.5 . I guess we don't need to do anything in the first installation?

I was in your shoes not too long ago doing the same thing. WordPress agency migrating from Plesk to Enhance, and in my experience, you lose some WordPress management features from Plesk; some you get back with cPFence, so cPFence is a must-buy. The Plesk migration tool did give me issues. One, it did not perform a full server migration, so you have to do it account by account, which can take time. I saved my Plesk backups from each account using SFTP into the Enhance control panel and ran each account migration separately. Some accounts failed to migrate for different reasons, which I ended up doing manually by setting up the account, creating WordPress, and doing a restore from backup. I did use BlogVault for that, which made it super easy. You can use any other WordPress migration tools if you need to.
