gmakhs They lied to us about the state of DEV of the update, saying that everything is ready and the last few months they where contacting tests and fixing bug, we pressured them to release it at-least, which was a good move to speed up DEV, but as a result a lot of Features didnt make it to release.
That to me gives a very bad image about the decisions of the team, but they did "owned" the mistakes, and i think its been a huge milestone in many aspects, BUG fixing has been fast at least and that's admirable, so from now on i hope for a BETA branch, and more Honest and realistic goals for each Version.
I honestly don’t get how you see all this commitment from the Enhance team - the constant improvements, rapid bug fixes, and overall effort to keep the software in top shape, all while maintaining top-notch support - as a bad image!
To me, this is exactly what hard work and dedication look like. They’ve been pushing to keep the project as polished as possible, and that’s something to appreciate.
Now, do they need a beta branch? Absolutely, it’s a must-have. But implementing it properly is expensive and requires a much larger team. I’m sure that as Enhance continues growing and gaining more market share (which they will, sooner or later), they’ll be in a better position to roll out a structured beta branch.
Also, keep in mind that a beta branch is really only crucial for major updates like v12. For smaller updates, like the upcoming follow-up releases, you’ll barely run into any issues.
