Is this compatible with v11 and v12 both? and is it upgrade compatible as well like if we install the vector on servers on v11 cluster and later upgraded to v12? i know this is initl dev version but it'd be nice if you test these things (if possible)

deydod Vector is relatively lightweight on server resources. For data storage, I'm planning to optimize the WordPress database by implementing time-based data aggregation and moving older metrics to dedicated tables specifically designed for historical data storage. This should keep the system efficient even as the monitoring period extends.

webnestify Nothing wrong with Netdata at all! I just found this solution simpler and more straightforward for my specific needs. I also plan to expand it to collect additional logs and metrics in the future. From my experience, it seems less resource-intensive than the Netdata agent. The main appeal for me is having a customized solution that I can gradually enhance to fit exactly what I want to monitor across my servers.

pratik_asabe Yes, this plugin is compatible with both Enhance CP v11 and v12. The compatibility is maintained since container cgroups are located in the same directory structure in both versions. Vector is installed and configured identically for both versions as well.

For upgrades, if you install Vector on servers running v11 cluster and later upgrade to v12, the monitoring should continue to function without issues. The collection mechanism relies on underlying Linux systems rather than specific Enhance CP version features.

I should mention that this is just the beginning of development, and the plugin is still in its early stages and imperfect. However, I'm committed to improving it to make it more useful and to add additional functionality in the future.

Just a suggestion, Why not make it standalone script ? instead of using it as WP plugin ?
This way you can extended it much more and will lightweight and not relying on WordPress (which may be limitted or some conflict on the future).

adil Thanks for the idea! I did consider a standalone script but chose a WordPress plugin mainly for practical reasons. WordPress is already running on most of our web servers or can be easily added.

The main advantage is that I didn't have to develop my own admin interface - WordPress provides a foundation I could build upon. Another plus is basic security - only logged-in users with the necessary permissions can access the plugin's data. Working with the database is also simpler thanks to the WordPress API.

A standalone script could be lighter but would require much more work to create a user interface and implement basic functions that WordPress offers automatically. For our web server monitoring needs, the plugin is simpler to implement and maintain.

Of course we just tried this and did it on a lite speed enterprise server without fully reading back in the thread... that was not good, as soon as I restarted Vector after configuring, lite speed went down and could not be restarted... at least @cPFence alerted me almost immediately that LSE was down.....

We then had to disable by hand. Is there an uninstall portion of the script that I missed on GitHub?

As for setup, it was easy. I have just tested on an apache test server, that seems to work ok...

Just a heads up that I'm still using this plugin https://woolab.app/plugin/ and it works well for the most part. I'm also using the Tools CP plugin (https://community.enhance.com/d/283-tools-plugin-now-available)

For different platform servers in one nice view with alerting, I also wanted to share about Beszel (https://beszel.dev/) a free open source easy to install and configure server dashboard. There's also Tianji (https://tianji.dev/) is you want more of a one dashboard for web analytics, site uptime monitor, and server status, plus more.

Shout out to both of these enhance specific tools, great to see the API in such great use!
