Yes, it’s working like a charm on production servers, and most of us here are running it live without issues. It’s also super easy to spin up a test and see for yourself, definitely worth revisiting.

P.S. As a rule of thumb, always take online discussions and reviews with a big spoon of salt. Test the software yourself and decide based on your own needs.

thekendog You're right, backup logs not showing is a regression and will be included as a bug fix in an up coming release. It's likely that "the ability to disable a backup on a per website' basis would be part of the override feature which is "logged".

alenguav Webuzo is part of softaculus i am a user of softaculus and virtualizor since 2010 and its the WORSE company i ever had to work with i will never ever use any of their products EVER again.
Things they did :
1) Overcharge monthly fess never issued a refund , and i asked credits for future payments not actually refund
2) Bricked way to many servers while giving them access to fix something
3) They are pushing BETA updates on productions servers if you have auto update enabled (which it is by default)
4) Very bad company ethics

Enhance is less shady in terms of handling things, and seems to have higher potential in other terms webuzo doesn't solve any of the problems that come with Cpanel - DA - etc panels BUT Enhance does and thats why i am here

gmakhs I agree. We used them for several years, both virtualizor and softaculous. They could literally never get the billing correct. Constantly had to monitor invoices, charges and such.

Bricked backup servers were a big problem, so no reliable restoration of VM...

Bricked backups of Softactulous installed sites (if using softaculous backups) - about 3/10 sites had this issue after only a short while.

When we moved our infrastructure from Proxmox to virtualizor, many problems came to us. We finally moved back to XCP-ng (we had utilized XenServer prior to ProxMox).

I have nothing bad to say about ProxMox, we simply prefer XCP-ng.

8Dweb Have a look at Virtfusion if you're ever making a move for VPS! It's fantastic! But yes, I love being able to offer dedicated resources on Enhance! Real selling point! Well v12 was mostly a smooth process for me! Aside from a couple of little niggles! Onwards and upwards in our Enhance journey!

COLBYLICIOUS Depending on your USERS .
If your users as abusing using bad written scripts - GPL plugin AND you have big servers with high USER density enhance is NOT ready.
IF you have a cloud approach with multiple servers and your clients are not abusers (which you don't control always), enhance works well.
Hopefully enhance will do better in the future, so before you take the decision to switch check your current usage base, as an example if Cloudlinux is a major NEED for your servers (including their mysql governor) Enhance will bevery problematic for you
For VPS webhosting Enhance is perfect

Yes, I really hope they don't change the control panel. If it looks like cPanel that would be a disaster.

slimx actually the last update is focused on custom panels based on api, so maybe a big player is onboarding .

I do think of building by own UI also and get rid all those enhance bugs and nonsense, but I will give it a month or two before I start I have other projects to compete prior .

Actually, this is a much-needed feature for us and many others, unfortunately, a lot of users are still emotionally tied to the cPanel UI. That’s why we still keep a cPanel server running just for those clients.

That said, we personally love and prefer the current Enhance UI.

And don’t worry, it’ll just be an optional theme, not even enabled by default.

cPFence often related to general server administration rather than Enhance-specific issues. This type of client usually requires a lot of hand-holding and support resources.

I REALLY wish Enhance would be less... welcoming... to these types of users. Call me elitist but if someone can't even figure out the terminal on their own they will never be useful to the community or profitable. It's like asking how to SUM a column in excel in a professional Excel forum. If you don't know the basics learn those first and join the basic communities.

Stackoverflow solved this issue. People wanting their code fixed instead of learning didn't usually stick around because their questions would get closed or downvoted heavily.

We also wish all our clients were server admins, or at least users willing to do a bit of research in the knowledge base before hitting the “New Ticket” button. But realistically, that’s not going to happen anytime soon, not for us, and definitely not for Enhance.

JohnB Stackoverflow solved what issue exactly? Stackoverflow themselves sees how their community can be toxic by people who think they know better and those that don't shouldn't be there. Enhance doesn't need to go down that road to be known as being toxic and unwelcome to new users.

Let’s shift from “don’t be an asshole” to “be welcoming.” Many people don’t realize that we already have a code of conduct (cuz we gave it a funny name). Or that it already includes concepts like “belittling language is not okay” and “Be welcoming, be patient, … and don't expect new users to know all the rules — they don't.” But we need to show it to all users, and empower them to help us enforce it.

I've been at this for 25+ years and I sometimes come across like that lol. I think many of us are so overworked and fried we sometimes miss the noses on our faces.

On our end I don't know why we get tickets asking for something so simple it should be obvious, but with so few details that require a half dozens responses to tease it out of them.

Support can be a long chain from client > reseller > host > vendor that I visualize a long line of bobbleheads shaking their heads in bewilderment.

blestaclub for me was an interesting experience, 3 commands into the upgrade , backup server stopped showing a role, which was scary.
Meanwhile I had other backups so I just continued, only issue I faced after the upgrade was the permissions issues for doc root other than public-html, and on one small VPS, mysql oom issue that many had here .

I also noticed some drop in mysql performance, on one of the servers, but I do not believe thats enhance related .

Dataforge Well. I didn't know about this. I really don't agree with them on multiple fronts but I'll admit I was wrong to say SO solved this issue.

Dataforge Stackoverflow themselves sees how their community can be toxic by people who think they know better and those that don't shouldn't be there.

Lets take a "low effort" question like "how do I replace the word "dog" with "cat" tagged JS HTML CSS.

The comments will be "google it" "duplicate [link]" "did you even try googling it?"

Is that toxic when its clear they didn't even remotely try and are posting in a professional space?

If join a pro chef forum and ask "How to make rice? I'm going to sell rice does this rice look flavourful?" I'm not going to get good results either. If I ask that in a hobby forum someone might help.

What does a professional community / forum gain by being welcoming and supporting low effort unskilled posters?

Kosta Probably comes to what you're familiar with. I wasn't a fan of Ubuntu much, always was a RedHat flavor of one or another for me, but Enhance pushed me into Ubuntu and I'm fine with it now. I really hope we get needed features and bug fixes (Redirects created the panel go into /.htaccess improper location, email roles moves losing DKIM, app roles losing Redis/Ioncube, staging sites with incorrect db/user values in wp-config.php, etc.) before supporting other distros.
