Hello!

Need some advice! What email solution do you use with all the groupware features that allow you to create domains or even groups of domains?

A solution that supports MAPI? We're desperately looking for the right solution!

We're only looking for on-premise solutions! We refuse any cloud solutions!

Thank you for your feedback!

mendozal how to implement mailcow with sogo on my cluster i would like to try, enhance seems gonna need another 5 years to implement it

Thank you for your reply... but i search better solution than Sogo! If possible a real solution can replace Microsoft 365 Exchange Online!

I mean a solution having a great integration with Outlook so maybe Grommunio or Kopano, or something else...

Kosta You'll need a separate server that only runs Mailcow since it needs docker. It would be a separate service from your enhance cluster. But it has many many features

@andaga I don't know anything like that that's open source / free. Maybe implement an exchange server?

        As you said:

        • Grommunio
        • Kopano

        Others:

        • Kerio Connect
        • Zimbra
        • OX App Suite
        • Axigen
        • IceWarp

Currently on mailcow for customers that need groupware but hoping to step over when enhance supports it but can still take a while.

Forgot to mention SmarterMail. If you need native MAPI...

          kess

Kerio (never success to join sales team)
          Zimbra (very old)
OX App Suite (very very expensive)
Axigen (No Mapi and no group of domains for cross-domain sharing)
IceWarp (never success to join sales team, only live chat with bad responses!)

            andaga

We sold Kerio years ago, not doing that again.
OX App seems to only want big fish.
Wanted to try icewarp but never heard back from anyone after inquiring.
We also sold google apps/workspace/whatever it's called this week. Done doing that.

Have you looked into Rackspace Reseller program? Been doing that for over 15 yrs. Solid imap product with calendar/contacts and some of the OX features (they integrate files app) they can also do mobilesync for phones.

CloudyBlake It seams we have the same experience with software...

OX App, yes they want only big fish!

About my rules! NOTHING EXTERNAL TO OUR DATACENTER!!! :-)

And Carbonio the new fork of Zimbra... Very expensive and they don't want heard nothing about Outlook

CloudyBlake seems like workspace and what I was looking for and should be easy to integrate into enhance too as far seen

CloudyBlake CrossBox have no calendar feature! And Crossbox is not standalone cluster! Only work with Plesk, Cpanel et DA!

Last update is more than 1 year! They are working on a new release but delayed since fews months!

                So not really interested!

Our customer want absolutly work with Outlook! So we need a real product like Exchange does with native MAPI integration!

Kosta You can't because there is no management interface for standalone! I have already speak with the support team!

                  We have used/sold:
Kerio - once they were bought out, and fired dev team (years ago) the product became a nightmare.
Smartermail - expensive, some bugs, but works well and interface is awesome
Icewarp -excellent product, we used/sold at same time as Kerio (2004-2012 time-frame) - If you need contact just try again, we know their team personally. Lot of government agencies still utilize that product.
Kolab - good product, can be pricey, and setup can be tough... This is what underlies Plesk Premium Email. We like Kolab since it is basically a good set of extensions to RoundCube, but again, setup can be a pain
SOGO - good overall product, self-hosted, easy to setup, some bugs with Outlook, some think the interface is "old" though I think it is classic and well-designed.

If I were to have to choose to provide premium email today, I would probably use SmarterMail or Icewarp in that order. We no longer sell premium email services, so no dog in that fight, but those two have great support, and are updated regularly.

If you want open source, SOGO is a good choice, but be ready to work at setup.

8Dweb SOGo is pretty well managed with IredMail or Mailcow! But the problem of SOGo is only ActiveSync and activeSync protocol is very very old school! We need use MAPI for to have a real functional integration with Outlook! The most problem today is to ask customer to understand Outlook is not the only "mail app" on the world! They don't want move to WebMail but want use absolutly Outlook!

                    Kerio = Ok is bad!
IceWarp = To contact someone is complicated! And what is the price for self-hosted ?
Kolab = Roundcube based.... so not interested because bad protocol to use!
SOGo = Cool but not perfect and not big cluster!
Smartemail = Cool but limited because can't be clustered... and can't manage group of domains
