Could you recommend Enhance for my me?

Hi there,

I am interested in moving in to Enhance for my WordPress websites. Currently I am using RunCloud.

I would like to get your thoughts on 2 things. 1. What are the benefits of Enhance compared to services lke RunCloud? 2. What are the issues or things you are not happy with Enhance at the moment?

Yes, definitely recommended , it works flawlessly for us and has saved a lot of time and money. But like anything, you need to test it yourself because what works for us might not match your exact needs.

The main concern people mention lately is the slow pace of development and new features. So it’s best to evaluate the current feature set as it is today, and only move forward if it already covers what you need.

Shan with enhance you will have to deal manually with configurations and security…
I never tried runcloud but,
I believe runcloud does that for you with couple clicks…

Best try it for a month and see yourself won’t bite you.

Enhance is for people who sell web hosting. If you're only hosting your own WordPress websites, stick with Runcloud. Enhance is overkill for your scenario. Don't complicate your life.

So much depends on what you want from the panel.

We were with RunCloud (well, still are) and moved our core to Enhance. Here is a little table I made - https://rve.sikmo.cz/. We discussed it even on a call with Raj (RunCloud CMO) and few members of their team.

But our goal is to build custom frontend panel (already working) and sell hosting / vps plans. But RunCloud as-is and now with workspace is really great.

Important note: we are / always were on yearly Business ($37.5and now $41 per month). So bear that in mind.

RunCloud does many things poorly (like disaster recovery) and their magic caching plugin has issues. With Enhance you're in control and can get MUCH better performance for much less (if you know how to optimize and don't expect a magic "optimize website" button).

Enhance has many UI bugs and clearly not enough developers. I wouldn't use Enhance if I was selling mass hosting but its perfect for hosting the sites I build and manage.

I would have said a year ago: "in about a year Enhance will be production ready" but they released a buggy v12 instead of fixing v11 bugs and now they have more v11 AND v12 bugs. You still can't trust backups/restore/disaster recovery.

JohnB Proxmox backup server have been my disaster recovery plan for a while now
