upspringaaron We still need to wait for a version bump from Enhance as far as I know.
These types of things get missed and should be included with the usual bug fixes and updates first instead of extra language packs.

ecknz I agree with you, except for the part of language files. They are being provided by users, so Enhance team time is not spend on that.

To apply these packages, run apt update && apt upgrade, the new version will be used the next time the PHP container is restarted for each website.

Oh, nice! (Well, kinda... I do hope security releases appear in a timely manner in the future.)

I did an apt update+upgrade and a reboot and the new versions are active now.

Looks like this is still an issue... 🙁 8.4 and 8.3 are 2 releases behind, including a security release.

upspringaaron It will always be an issue if not using LSPHP due to being behind appcd,
Just have good/strict security methods in place or use LS or OLS.

Running the absolute latest PHP version isn't usually advisable with Wordpress.

ecknz I did try Litespeed for a bit, but it seemed like I was going to have to re-learn WordPress performance tuning from scratch, so I went back to Apache.

But to confirm, what you're saying is: if I am able to make that switch to LS/OLS, I won't be stuck waiting on the ECP team for for php releases?

I'm not an expert with LS/OLS yet and just use the standard settings, but they run newer versions of PHP which are not relying on the Enhance team to update them from what I have seen.

Currently using another platform for production sites until there are some improvements to the quality of updates being rolled out.
