Hi there!

I wanted to change one of the DNS servers in my current setup.

Does anyone know if this is easy to do or if it might cause a lot of issues?

On another note, I’d also like to know how to change the DNS names for the domains — for example:

from ns1.example.com to ns1.example.net

bocagua When you say change - what exactly are you trying to change? You can change the Nameservers by heading to Platform > Nameservers. You'll find all the information you need there.

I mean, the current domains will already have the old DNS in their DNS template. How can I update this in masse?

I know this isn't a common case, but we use a domain for DNS that's very complex for our clients, and we want to change it.

bocagua you have to change nameservers of domains manually and individually.

bocagua possibly, you can check your domain registrar for api access, maybe you can make an app for their platform.

Thanks guys for the help, and I apologize for not explaining myself clearly. My question is about the DNS template that contains the Enhance DNS servers. I understand that I need to change the nameservers for the domain, but what happens to the DNS template in Enhance? Does it update automatically, or do I have to manually update it for the 300 domains?

You could always leave the existing clients using your current nameservers, and use new ones going forward for the new clients. As long as you keep your current nameservers registered, it will still work. Your current customer domains will see the new NS record within their DNS, but it doesn't make a difference.

We did similar around 1 year ago.
