Is Enhance changing its pricing?

justin It is technically doable. I used to run control panel + application + database in one server until the ability to move control panels was released. No issues at all.

You will just be missing a backup role.

justin I have everything on one VPS and it works well 🙂 As for the 66 websites, that's definitely too much for me too - a package for up to 33 websites was perfect for smaller, non-commercial servers... It's a shame.

Darkle Its nice it doesn't effect active licenses, if I just discovered enhance it wouldn't be worth it to me at that price for just deploying a few sites for myself (which isn't the user they want or what this panel is meant for anyways)

DracoBlue Yeah, im fine since its grandfathered in, but as a new user it wouldnt be worth it to me, other options at 10$ or for free for hosting less sites exist, guess we aren't really the audience tho, they want ppl hosting many sites.

Hope to see also ability to resell enhance licenses so we can start provisioning directly to VPS/dedis this platform to our future customers.

A good move I'd say! Cashflow is needed to boost the development of the product, in few years if enhance increases pricing for existing users as well then I'll happily welcome it as long as we see productive development of the product!

5 USD is a good entry price, i am not sure how well it works for Enhance, but it certainly does make them competitive against other panels, but i am sure they though of that before changing it.

As an individual i doubt i would ever use enhance for a personal project and i don't think is made with non business audience in mind, as a business i would be willing to pay even $30/m as an entry point as long as the cost per website or lets call it user account or container is at $0.15

The fact that the dollar is depreciating in relation to other currencies is also something that will affect prices in this industry. Mostly if the developers are based in Europe or UK.

The problem with Enhance is that it's not a panel that's easy to set up and install. I even think the entry price should be higher to avoid overwhelming support. I don't think it's a panel for personal projects, but rather for hosts and/or agencies or webmasters with many websites. There are thousands of free panels for personal projects.

bocagua I think it depends on the person who wants to use Enhance. There are developers out there who might have good stack knowledge and want to have their own setup to manage and run. Yes, it might be overkill but if that is what they want to do, I guess that is there wish.

I also understand and agree that a higher entry price would deter this and maybe help with any overwhelming support the Enhance team may be under, but then there is this Community Forum and Discord for people wanting help. There are plenty of people willing to help.

We have to kindly disagree , we find installing and configuring Enhance a breeze compared to cPanel or DirectAdmin. We can set up and configure a full cluster (30+ servers) with all servers sharing the same replica settings in under 2 hours. Doing the same with cPanel is a huge pain and can take days.

Before Enhance, setting up a cluster like this would require a highly experienced admin. With Enhance, even someone just starting to learn their way around the terminal can get it up and running in half an hour!. Enhance has made cluster setup feel like child’s play.

I know there are a few great open-source and free control panels out there, but most of them support only Nginx or Apache. Personally, I really want to use OpenLiteSpeed as my web server to benefit from LSCache.

Unfortunately, the only free option with OLS is CyberPanel, which I’ve tried and found very buggy and unstable.

That led me to consider the paid options, which seem to be:

A few days ago, I purchased an Enhance license to try it out (I've been watching Enhance for almost two months now). The installation process was surprisingly smooth! I’m currently using just one server, so I changed the default web server from Apache to OpenLiteSpeed. However, I noticed that Enhance didn’t provide login credentials for the OLS WebAdmin panel — is that expected or am I missing something?

Now I’m also giving DirectAdmin a try to compare. So far, installing OLS on DA is more complicated than Enhance, and I have to manually install and configure LSCache. It’s a bit too hands-on for my taste, but the personal license (\$5 for 20 domains) is quite affordable.

I’d love to hear your thoughts if anyone has experience running Enhance with OpenLiteSpeed on a single server setup.

Totally, I'm the first geek who, on a personal level, kills flies with a cannon.
But it's true that if it becomes very popular, it could overwhelm support due to users with little knowledge who want a managed WordPress hosting with 2 $5 VPS + a $10 license.

cPFence Aren't you exaggerating a bit ?
You can sure setup Cpanel and direct admin servers as fast using templates........ with also preconfigured litespeed settings, mysql etc, while on enhance you have to go per server if you want anything else than the defaults.......

Lets be honest here.... Enhance is great but facts are facts.
And i believe scripts can also be made for enhance, so setup times will be approximately the same.... and who setups 30 servers daily?

Not at all , any admin who’s set up clusters on cPanel and then tried doing the same on Enhance knows exactly what I’m talking about. You’re well known here for constantly denying any of Enhance’s strong points, while being quick to highlight every weak point , even imagining ones that don’t exist. Most members on this forum have noticed that by now, yet you still keep going without a hint of hesitation.

Maybe you can create a YouTube video or even a written guide showing us how you set up a full cluster of 30+ servers , including 3 DNS servers, 1 backup server, 5 app servers, 3 database servers, etc. , in under 2 hours using cPanel, just like anyone can do with Enhance. We’d love to learn from your experience and creativity!

Maybe we can discuss that with plesk/cpanel you can host websites quickly using templete, but configuring an entire cluster with dedicated server (dns, db-servers, backup, mailserver, manage everything from a single panel, etc) is A LOT more complex, in every aspect.

Sure, if you have a lot of time and you simply want "to host 100 websites" I can agree, but if you want to create a solid, scalable and easy to manage/maintain infrastructure, cpanel/plesk are not even comparable to Enhance, both in terms of time and overall efficiency.

And I'm not here to advertise Enhance, I'm speaking from personal experience: I come from 20+ Plesk servers and I would have switched here even with a starting price of $30.

Yeah , Enhance may lack some features and has its weak points, but its uniqueness in easy cluster setup and management is definitely one of its strongest points , and it's exactly what attracted most of us in the first place. Cluster setup and management in Enhance vs other panels is like night and day! It’s just a shame to see some people trying to deny that while pretending to be all about “facts”!

I have been following enhance with great interest for a long time and have been reading the forum for about 6 months. A few weeks ago, I created an account here to be able to get rid of my last questions regarding its use. I manage 15 wordpress sites and would like to run the panel on 1 to a maximum of 2 servers.

The original pricing was absolutely reasonable for this setup. Now that the price has doubled, it no longer makes sense for me to switch from Runcloud.

What I find really unfortunate is that the price increase was not announced here in the forum at any time. I would definitely have reacted and bought it. Too bad. Still a great panel. Even if it's no longer for me.

If you already had an active license before the price increase, you won’t be affected. The new pricing only applies to new clients.
