Thank you everyone for your replies. Please excuse my late response.
I have a client with a multisite installation I was looking into moving to our ECP cluster. As I understand it, their reasons for using MS was that they have numerous sites for their organisation (one for each country they operate in), and they were able to use most of their paid plugins (and theme) across all sites with one license, saving them a considerable amount each year in plugin subs. Along with the fact users were shared across the sites, and one admin could manage (update, etc.) them all at once. They have a unique TLD for each site.
Personally, like others here, I find MS a nuisance to deal with.
Aside from the MS configuration itself, in terms of setting it up under ECP, am I correct in understanding only the following steps are required:
- Add the primary site as a website in ECP
- For each sub-site add that as a website in ECP and point it to the home director of the primary site
I gather we'd have to use Nginx or Apache, and not OLS due to the non-persistence of OLS (unless I use the OLS persistence script from CPFence.
