I agree with you — the current global hourly limit is too restrictive on one hand and ineffective on the other, since it doesn’t permanently block abuse or provide proper notifications.
That’s why a per-package limit (as suggested) and even a per-domain or per-mailbox limit (as you propose) would make the system much more useful. Ideally, Enhance could combine both approaches:
- Package-level control: allows providers to differentiate commercial plans and fairly allocate resources.
- Domain/mailbox-level control: provides precision in dealing with abuse, ensuring one compromised account doesn’t affect the whole package.
- Permanent blocking & notifications: essential to act quickly against SPAM and protect IP reputation.
With these features, Enhance would move from a “one-size-fits-all” limit to a flexible, layered protection model, balancing security and usability much better.
