"Outbound email spam prevention and detection" Roadmap Feature

Is the "Outbound email spam prevention and detection" feature in the roadmap referring to the ability to use a third party spam system or a custom enhance developed feature?

Adam I saw people requesting mailchannels integration. But I was hoping it would be an in-house solution. So all good.

Mailchannels already works for outbound scrubbing - you just need to set it as a Smart Host either globally or on a per-server basis.

I have been researching email protection today and looked at SpamExperts and MailChannels. It will be interesting to see what Enhance will provide.

The company I am using restricts ports 25, 465 and 587 by default and will only remove the restriction by request. As part of the request they ask "how you’ll avoid sending unwanted emails".

tecreasey It's on their roadmap for March, I expect it'd use the same as the incoming (rspamd). We resell SpamExperts via the WHMCS Connect marketplace and customers are happy with it. You do have the option of working around outbound providers network limitations by using a third party mailer service like sendgrid or SES, or setup a central postfix instance with your own rspamd through which the relay the outbound appcd and cp emails.

From what I can see with Sendgrid and others, you must authenticate the domain before sending emails, or have I misread something?

If you need to authenticate domains, it will be a constant manual update for every new hosting package bought.

tecreasey Good point, I checked my sendgrid account and the IP controls are to increase the security granularity of known domains / not permit any domain as I assumed. The other idea of running a bespoke postfix rspamd outbound relay could permit you to allow any domain to relay based on IP however that'll then run into SPF problems which we're awaiting on the DNS templating feature to address. Apologies for any confusion.

Hey I like to add the following to this roadmap request about using a provider for outbound e-mail. Give us the ability to add routing transport maps like you can do now in mailcow. Why do I want this? I am using this so a outbound e-mail goes trough the ip of spamexperts and this way if you use a new server ip it does not land in the spam of the recieving person like gmail / microsoft.

Eventually, I wanna have only enhance for websites and e-mail. Right now I have to use seperate servers using mailcow to ensure I can deliver mail with transport maps with IMAP.

Please consider this and in GUI.

Steamon Isn't this already in the admin UI? Or is that just system emails. I'm already relaying all my mail via a specific account at a provider.

CloudyBlake I am soon gonna test out Enhance I was looking to the planned section and did not saw it in the demo.

But I am already using the method for over 2 years with mailcow and can't get it working with directadmin nor spamexperts or directadmin can help with getting it working correctly. Thats why I am looking to Enhance now.

I am not stuck to Spamexperts but I can buy it very cheaply and it just works for me with the delivery of e-mail of a client and good results with the spam removal.
