cPGuard integration work in progress

craneinteractive We need a sample instance to test the integration in the first place to understand how we can load our configuration. Our WAF is already compatible with both web servers and it takes only time to understand how we can load our configuration into the docker configuration. We do not expect more than 24-48 hours to complete it once we have the sample instance on board.

I have reached out to opshield and they are working on it.
The current issue, is enhance uses OWASP, and there is no way to disable it to use opsshield's verison.

I put in a ticket with enhance about this.
I will keep you posted

Hello,,

I would like to let you know the cPGuard version 4.87 has been released with Apache WAF support in the Enhance control panel. The update is automatic or you can manually update using the following command.

cpgcli update --start

mike We are waiting for a sample Nginx instance for our configuration checks. I hope we can release it without much delay after we get a sample instance. Please reach our support desk if someone can come up with an Nginx instance for our analysis

Adam instructed me to disable OWASP comment out lines.

Include /etc/modsecurity.d/owasp/rules/*.conf

Include /etc/modsecurity.d/owasp/crs-setup.conf

Andreas We do this when you enable WAF FYI...this is automated and part of the WAF check.

We installed the new version on one of our cluster web servers, so far, so good. Only a couple of minor issues:

modsec issues with phpmyadmin popped up.
in CPguard website control panel, none of the Joomla nor WP plugins show up...

Aside from that, works well.

We have released cPGuard version 4.89 with Nginx WAF support.

8Dweb please would you open a support ticket regarding the phpmyadmin issue you faced? The plugin version case is expected and will not work with Enhance. But the CMS version information should display fine.

I'm not very clear about Lite version & regular version. Price difference is substantial.

What do you guys suggest?

It's going to depend on what type of websites you're hosting and whether these features are useful to you.

You can purchase cPGuard licenses from legitimate resellers which will save you some money. The lowest legitimate standard license I've seen is around $9 / month.
