Package wording is confusing

There is an issue with the display of packages especially when a customer has multiple subscriptions with the same package. this is how its shown.

As shown in the image 5 PACKAGES .. Its actually the customer has 5 unique subscriptions with the same package. its somehow confusing.
the subscriptions should also have an alias or main domain tied to them for the client side and for the admin side an id (already there) + the alias. this will automatically solve the add website issue and several places showing same package name multiple times which is very confusing.

Do you agree or have a better way ??🤔🤓

mike Mike, why would a client have multiple unique subscriptions to the same package? Is this because you've set one package per DC?

We have an open feature request for the parent org (reseller or master organisation) to be able to set a name for a subscription. This will mean that the billing platform (WHMCS, Upmind, etc) can also set a name for the subscription - this could be the domain entered by the customer, or the ID of the package subscription in the billing system, or a custom name.

Adam why don’t we show the list of subscriptions instead of packages. Subscriptions are unique therefore we get rid of the duplicate packages showing.

Isn’t it more logical UX wise for a customer to see his subscriptions🤷

This would also help in adding a website confusion as websites should be added to subscriptions not to packages and subscriptions are unique 👍

Subscription naming should be done by admin or billing systems as naturally you will need a domain with your hosting order and that would be the alias or primary domain of the subscription.

Now we have a clean workflow 😎 what do u think?

@Adrien that's how it works. if John orders package A several times he will have several unique subscriptions to the same package. i have not set anything yet. of course there are several plans but sometimes clients order the smallest package several times. 🤷‍♂️

When you go to list your packages as a client now .. you will see:
Plan A -> subscription id 1 Plan A -> subscription id 2
Plan A -> subscription id 3 Plan A -> subscription id 4
Plan A -> subscription id 5

I believe its more logical to list the subscriptions not the packages. that's how its done in all CP's.

If you are a client with more than 10 plans in your account its not that easy to filter and track a domain to a package.

I wasn't confronted with that case because I have set up things so clients only have one Package that they can either upgrade/downgrade/cancel. In Upmind there's an option to do that.

Now regarding the multiple locations from what I understood, it's one package per DC which is an absolute nightmare to create/manage...I tried. So I've put on pause my idea of multiple locations for the time being. Adam said there would be a way for clients to choose the location by themselves when creating a new website. Since I don't know exactly how all this would translate in terms of packages, I've put all this on hold.
