Software and Server solution providers will advocate for a stripped-down version of the software so they can sell their own solution along with the software.
Cloud Linux wants a share from Enhance, too (will not get it probably)
Others, like CPguard and others (protection software), will want a slice.
Jetbackup is on the fence line.
It depends on who you ask and depends who the product helps.
If you ask the people who can provide a service complementing Enhance, they will tell you it is bloated and needs to remove all functionality that can be sold by a 3rd party (themselves) (there is some money to be made)
Regarding Enhance, the more charges come along on top of Enhance, the more Enhance will lose market share as it is not competitive. There is a fine line there!
As an end-user purchasing Enhance for server management, I need to Enhance to manage the server, not just restart services. Also, it is called a Control Panel, so as the name, i need to be able to control as much as possible the server via the control panel.
If Enhance can secure and optimise services to run fast and smoother, it is good. If not, and I need to pay other software creators to achieve this, that means enhance is not that enhanced π
I do not trust some 3rd party to "tune and protect" my Enhanced server compared to the software created by the Enhance team.
Above is my personal opinion. But my opinion will make the difference in time if I continue using Enhance or if I need to keep looking.
