Will 9:5 be bundled with Redis etc

Hello will 9:5 contain Redis and the rest of July’s / Junes backlog? Is there any ETA on 9.5 yet? Really struggling with onboarding woocommerce site currently.

Zoinkies That would be great! But I personally feel we are one month delayed and would rather like to see the Roadmap adjusted (delayed by a month) to match the reality. I think Redis may come early next month based on the timing of the past updates.
Redis is for sure a must-have for all dynamic sites.

Zoinkies Hi, We're a fair bit behind on the roadmap but are doing our best to get 9.5 out asap. Redis will be in 9.6 along with some features that have been scheduled for July/June .

9.5 includes 'Let's Encrypt V2', 'Branding 'create account URL', if provided a sign up to create an account link will be added to the login page', enhancements and bug fixes.

9.5 is by far the biggest update to date and will make a significant difference to those running the platform at scale.

Adrien 100% Agree, we really, really, need a proper cache and working web-server outside of Apache(slow, crashes, no caching), OLS(Broken SSO, doesn't support plugins), LiteSpeed(Too expensive for most clients, and isn't able to be configured to support full-page cache properly).

NGINX is the only viable solution currently for full-page cache, but NGINX is broken on WooCom and page-builders, making it un-usable, Redis would be a saving grace currently for big WooCom sites, I could happily do without S3(total waste of time in prod, slow and expensive) and the other fluff for better core updates to actual functionality already in place, i.e. getting NGINX prod ready.

Also, there is no way of enabling full-page cache by default, I hope we get Redis with the ability to enable it by default for WooCom packages at a per package level.

PHP Per package will be key for enabling a proper OpCache config uninformedly.

The monthly roadmap is a bit aggressive imho; while it's good to have frequent releases and stretching goals it'd maybe be better to have a quarterly roadmap and avoid disappointment (any one month there can be numerous security issues that distract and derail progress but other months in a quarter with no or few issues that will average out).

necrom This. I think we need a public voting board to vote on what features are in the roadmap. There’s no way S3 is more important than Redis, and S3 shouldn’t be slowing down Redis development.

Zoinkies Generally agree but then each vote against a feature would need to be weighted by the number of website licenses to be fair and that's a whole additional dev task they probably don't need right now.

The issue with voting is that the forum isn't fully representative of our customer base.

Also the roadmap has to take into account the complexity of each feature as well inter-dependence with other planned features.

9.5.0 was originally planned for June but there have been some delays, it will be out next week. It includes the full LetsEncrypt rewrite. 9.6.0 should follow shortly after with the other outstanding features.

@Zoinkies are you looking for official integrations of XYZ?

I'm sure you are aware, but can boot up multiple dockers with Redis on dedicated internal IPs to onboard those WooCommerce clients and have "private"'ish Redis instances? You can even secure them via user/pass.
