rspamd - let enhance learn when marking e-mails as SPAM.

Hola all!

I've used RSPAMD in the past on other webservers to block e-mails.
The amazing part about rspamd is that it could learn from marking e-mails as spam.

Does enhance already work with this method or not?
If not it would be amazing if this could be fixed so rspamd learns from e-mails that are not yet marked as spam.

We have the framework for this in place, it's just not implemented yet. There are some big improvements to email coming soon.

Currently I am trying to mark e-mails as spam myself on the server, but it would be way better if enhance can do this for us.

Or at least make it so it reads the spam messages in a folder.

You can configure Rspamd to learn from spam folders by following their documentation. Alternatively, cPFence Spam AutoShield can handle it automatically if you'd prefer a simpler approach.

Thanks I've used the guide from cPFence to upgrade Rspamd and enabled my webui. After that I started configuring autolearning and manually learned in 600 e-mails as spam & ham. Currnetly on a nice 300/300 spam/ham.

That made a insane difference, before tuning the default enhance rspamd configuration did do some spam rejecting but after making the system learn it was a insane big difference.

I know there is a way to auto learn from spam folders, I don't know for sure if this is handy to set up. How would enhance handle this? Besides that, it would be better if this could be integrated within enhance. Something on the enhance side to fix to be fair.

Yeah, Rspamd is incredibly powerful once it’s properly tuned. Learning from email folders is definitely possible, it’s covered in the official Rspamd docs, but just keep in mind it can increase memory usage. Also, if your user base isn’t particularly tech-savvy, there’s a risk that training data might get polluted by incorrect user classifications. So it’s useful, but should be used with caution.

Yeah that is true, for now I've just setup autolearning (not from folders just from itself)
Training messages here and there myself.

And made sure all messages marked as SPAM will be moved to a spam folder. This way customers still have a spam-free inbox.
